TOPIC: How do you organize all the "Injustice" comics?

How do you organize all the "Injustice" comics? 2 months 4 days ago #47973

I am just getting into comics, and I have one annoyance with "Injustice". Right now, there are 6 Series.
  • Injustice - Gods Among Us
  • Injustice - Gods Among Us Year Two
  • Injustice - Gods Among Us Year Three
  • Injustice - Gods Among Us Year Four
  • Injustice - Gods Among Us Year Five
  • Injustice 2

I have two questions:
  1. Is there a particular metatag that would group all of these together?
  2. What is the best way to deal with annuals and volumes?

You could do a Series Group of everything published by DC Comics with Injustice in the Series Name.

In the info screen make Main Character As Injustice, then create a Smart list with Main Character set as Injustice. Then sort by published date.

Download your comicinfo with the Comicvine Scrapper plug-in, then create a smart list this way:

Name "Injustice Comics"
Match Any
{
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "55835",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "69098",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "70687",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "77222",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "77226",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "81600",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "81822",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "86975",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "86759",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "96143",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "94582",
[Custom Value] equals "comicvine_volume" "100663"
}

add more comicvine_volume values as needed

I'd set all injustice comics with a series group of injustice since injustice is neither a main character or team. Then use library organizer to sort into folders accordingly. This way all injustice comics are in an injustice folder. Makes my brain feel better.

In the end there's no "right way" to do it.

I also set Injustice as Series Group and using the original The Organizer set-up this is how they end up (at least with my settings)

I don't bother with limited series or main series meta. Just my preference. I don't mess with percentage read either. I remove annuals from titles.

My structure would be...

DC folder, then an Injustice folder with 2 folders in it. One for Injustice - Gods Among Us. One for plain old Injustice

What is it about your setup you don't like? You can mess with the library organizer rules a ton.

How do you want it to look?

My Library organizer folder structure looks like this. (At least for Marvel, DC, Image and Dark Horse.)

{ <publisher>}\{ <seriesgroup>}\{ <maincharacter>}\{ <series>}

I have been toying with the idea of trying chronological for marvel and dc.

Dunno.

I like my set-up I was just giving the original poster a visual of how it would look like using the "Series Group" setting.

Regarding % that's just because I used treesize to get to show the opened directories (those are size of the folders - not read percentages)
