I got the windows update this morning now. Comicrack closes after a few seconds of being loaded. Going to see if I can troubleshoot it. I just tried deleting my settings from appdata. And now I am reinstalling it.

Well after setting compatibility mode to Windows 7 and reinstalling and setting -dso -ssc it hasn't crashed itself. donno what was wrong. or if any of that fixed it.
ended up uninstalling nvidia hdmi audio driver, updating visual studio, and disabling hardware acceleration.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have no suggestions - I double checked and I have been running W10 1803 64bit since May 3rd - I have done nothing special and comicrack has never misbehaved. Not sure if it makes any difference I set-up my comicrack to utilise sql - I mention it in case the update has by any chance change ownerships in some directories you are using which are not impacted by a sql set-up (e.g. I never had any issues with windows 10 that were mentioned on this forum in the past).

comicrack.cyolito.com/forum/8-help/40010...-on-startup?start=10

that form post helped me i think. i disabled hardware acceleration via the comicrack.ini file and it hasn't crashed yet. pre 1803 i didn't need to do that. so it's odd.

When my machine upgraded to Windows 10 (64 bit) version 1803, I had big problems with the scraper erroring out and Comicrack itself crashed twice. I rolled it back to version 1709 and turned off updates for now. Not sure if I can say with confidence it was 1803, but it hasn't had problems since going back to 1709.

I didn't think to look up the event log. As I never do. but the comicrack had alot of one error with ucrtbase.dll before closing.

after looking up ucrtbase.dll on google. someone said uninstall the nvidia hdmi audio driver and another said update visual studio. So I did both of those things. That seems to have fixed my issue. *crosses fingers*

NVIDIA HD audio seems to be the cause. As the driver reinstalled itself. Disabling the driver in device manager seemed to be enough to keep comicrack from crashing though. As I don't use HDMI out on my video card. I'll probably need to do this every time I update my drivers.
---EDIT---
okay this bug is odd... I keep doing things that I think work. But after a while it still crashes. because of this ucrtbase.dll.

After looking around running out of ideas I have tried this.... it found a corrupt dll. I'm unsure if it is related to my issue.
Comicrack didn't crash instantly. So who knows.
