My personal computer is a Windows 7 (mainly because of professional reasons and the non existence of good photo software for linux). But I've an up to date Ubuntu VM for development needs.
Our living room computer is an Ubuntu desktop.
My media center is now also an Ubuntu with xbmc in an autologin session.
My son runs an Ubuntu laptop.
My girlfriend runs a new Windows 7 laptop.
My main reading Tablet PC is now Windows 7.
My old one still runs Windows XP Tablet Edition.
For development and curiosity I've also got a second gen Mac mini.
The media server for the home is a Ubuntu Server distro VM running on top of an old Windows XP installation.
:woohoo: Run.., the machines are taking over..!!!

I didn't think there was any bias so I apologize if it came out that way. I am going to try and get one of the older versions running and I will let you know what happens.

This program is too good to keep to one platform. Let's get it out to amiga and trs-80's too!

Just kidding ... sort of.

Does ComicRack use P\Invoke? cause if it does, then all hope in mono is lost.

1 What photo software are you using now?

2 Check out Illumination Software Creator. It is different and allows me ( a non programmer to write code. Maybe it might be of some use to you as well.

Sometimes I feel like I am the only person who LIKES Windows...you can keep your Linux. I know it's got more power and customizability under the hood, and I'm even knowledgeable to take advantage of it, but I just don't care. >.< More power to you though!

Shinrai, with a 75+ percent market share, I am sure there are lots of other who LIKE windows too. I don't disklike windows, I just like linux better. But I think we can all agree on one thing ...

COMIC RACK DOES IN FACT ROCK!!!!

Now if I can just figure out how to get Comic Rack to change the file names of my comics as well as the titles in the library and put them into nice predetermined folders for me, I would be all set. (until cYo works out that whole breakfast in bed/morning paper thing)

Look at the different scripts, there are several for renaming/moving of comics.

Take a look at the Organize Library Files and Folders 2.0 script. It does exactly that.

Not sure what I did wrong. Unzipped the script into the scripts folder and restarted, but get this when I click on the file to set the root dir.

execution of the script failed!
Exception has been thrown by the targer of an invocation.

Not sure what I need to do at this point?

Never got that error. Perphaps a post under the script thread would get some more specialized help. From my experience, that script has been a golden bullet for all my sorting needs.

Well guys, currently using Ubuntu 10.10, and its simply great this time..!!

The only 2 things that stop me from fully moving on to linux (than using a dual-boot) are ComicRack and my iPod.

sigh..:(
