I recently swapped over from another CBR reader (CDisplay) and certain files that work fine in that reader are displayed in the Library with a big red X (image attached).

Attempting to open the file manually results in a blank screen. Other files in the series work with no problems. This is running on Windows 7 - Enterprise 64Bit.

It's a shame because everything else the program does is awesome and by far and above better than the previous reader.

If one of the technical support / moderators needs a copy of the file(s) in question I would be more than happy to EMail them.

Kind Regards,
-Dal-

CDisplay will open corrupt files. Even if the full file isn't there.
ComicRack doesn't. Those red X's are indications that something is wrong with the archive itself. Unpack it, repack it, and it will work fine (aside from a couple pages missing that you never saw in CDisplay anyhow because it simple skips over them).

Having now researched what a CBR / CBZ file is actually composed of, I have unpacked it and repacked it and it now loads fine. Cheers!

You can skip doing it manually (opening the file directly with 7zip, WinRar, Winzip, whathaveyou) by right clicking the comic with the red X inside ComicRack itself and then converting the file to a .cbz or .cbr. You can convert a .cbr to a .cbr and ComicRack will simply repack it for you.
However, keep in mind that ComicRack renames the pages inside the eComic for better display order and also will delete any non-image file aside from the ComicInfo.xml (which technically I believe it deletes then rebuilds)
