I clicked too fast on cbz file in Explorer. This opened two instances of ComicRack at once. I immediately closed both of them. Then I've run ComicRack and to my surprise my database was gone and overwritten with blank new ComicDB.xml. (Config.xml was left untouched)

I tried to reproduce this and run few instances of CR to see if database would disappear again, however, without any success (or rather, disaster, I should say).

Backup guys.. backup....!!!

Even Iron-man forgot to backup.. so, I don't blame you quidam

By the way, if this really is a bug, it needs some serious looking in..

Reminds me of a firefox add-in called Multi-fox, which opens up a new firefox identity window. So, if you close the first window, the new window becomes default and all your open tabs are lost..

This definitely is a bug. It only occurs during startup. Launching the shortcut or using the "comicrack" system variable while the program is running (post-startup) correctly switches focus to the running instance, but if you do it while the startup window is showing, it will launch a second instance using the same settings/database xml.

Seems like checking the running processes for "comicrack.exe" should be the first step in initialization of the exe.
