I'm using ComicRack on Win7 x64, on an HP Pavillion dv7.
The problem I'm having is with the media keys along the top of the keyboard. When reading comics, I usually have my media player (usually Winamp, sometimes WMP) playing mp3s in the background. Anytime I press one of the media keys (Back - Play/Pause - Forward or Stop) - ComicRack automatically opens the next eComic.
I'd rather not disable Comicrack's shortcuts, they are handy, especially on a laptop, where the trackpad isn't always the most comfortable option.

I've had a look through the options, but I haven't found anything so far that can help (or maybe I've been looking in the wrong place, wouldn't surprise me)

Anybody able to assist? Is this something that needs to be implemented to the program, or is there a hidden option/tweak?

Looking forward to hearing your views on this

Edit > Preferences > Reader Setup > Keyboard

There, you'll be able to change the default keyboard shortcuts used by CR and set secondary/tertiary ones.

And, to please 600 , it's all explained in his ominous manual!

It appears {Oo} is talking about page 57 here:

Hey guys, thanks for the replies

The manual was my first resort, and I checked the keyboard shortcut options, however, the media keys (which are available to select from the dropdown) are not bound to any of the listed functions, and the "Next eComic" is bound only to the N key (other 2 options are left blank).

So, the only thing I can seem to think of at this point is that the media keys are sending another command to the active window, hence CR's behaviour.

I also thought I'd add, this happens with all the touch keys on the laptop, including "mute", the volume slider and the "wireless" key.

I have a dv6 and it works fine. I can even use the remote tu turn pages.
Try to update quick buttons drivers.
It may help.

/me thinks about reading Watchmen on a 42" TV... mouth watering... If I get it to work with the remote that is.. I'm pretty sure the drivers were updated recently, but it can't hurt to check again

Hey everyone.

TO follow up, I checked the drivers, they're all up to date (tried rolling back to previous versions, too, no luck).

The only workaround at the moment is to change the shortcuts for the "background" program (Winamp, mostly) and avoid using the media keys all together.
