Can someone try importing this to see if the changes cYo made in .124 fix the importing issues?

Well... it mostly worked. Only it loaded the wrong Iron Man comics. It loaded the correct number, but wrong volume.

To insure this was a ComicRack problem and not a problem with the list itself, I took a look at the insides.

Appears the correct volume was listed inside the list, however I also don't have those books currently added to my library, so I think 1 of 2 things happened.

1) It failed to fine volume 4 versions, so it defaulted to the next best match it could find, which happened to be volume 1 in this case.

2) ComicRack has gone rogue and decided volume 1 is better than volume 4 anyhow.

I'll try adding the proper books into the library and retesting it.

Either way, I don't think the list should have linked to the incorrect volume, present or not.

At least not without a warning message, that's for sure.

It would be nice if CR had a "No exact match found" box to select a match or skip...

It warned about some books missing, however I don't recall it warning that those books were missing.

Just retested, the warning dialog box for the missing books was cut off at the end with ...
Meaning there was more books to display, but no room to display them.
The dialog box needs to be made scrollable.

I can't tell if it tried warning about missing those issues of Iron Man or not at this point and best guessed, or if it thought the volume 1 issue were the volume 4.

Good points. My past experience has been that the pop-up only warns if it finds no match, not if it doesn't find an exact match. That may have changed in the new version

The thing is ComicRack now tries a very fuzzy match. Logic is this:

1) Series (only letters) and number must be equal
2) Year is the same (+/-1)
3) Volume is the same
4) Format is the same


So yes, if you do not have the matching year and not the matching volume and no matching format the wrong volume is returned.

Explains things. Scraped in the full meta data for those books and now it is going to the next best, which is volume 3, which also don't have fully scraped data

It seems to guess fairly accurate tho. There were a couple other books that it guessed spot on. Those where the only ones it didn't guess right, and only because the correct books weren't present.

It worked for me, except for the comics titled as "Standard..."

Standard just means... standard

Standard, Annual, etc; in those list just refer to format. In this case standard means a comic that has it's format set as default/blank in the info window.

Actually, I manually set that value. It doesn't seem to be doing anything but screwing up exporting lists, so I'll be removing it. That probably won't solve the problem, as any custom Formats will just screw things up again. Cyo, what do you think about having the software only check for certain formats (annual, special, etc) and ignore the format if it's not on that list?
