This is the ordered reading list for Civil War (from Road to Civil War to The Initiative) according to the official marvel DVD. The files were named according to the organizelibrary and scrapefromcomicvine scripts, so if you use them, this should get your comics!

Hahaha... I was actually sorting my Civil War reading list when I saw your post... Well, guess I'd have been better off taking yours but, hey, I just have 2-3 eComics left to sort...

Wow.. Okay.. where to begin?

First off.. this is my first post and this program is AMAZING! As soon as I can properly feed myself and can spare some cash, I plan on donating.

Anyway.. So about this list...

I had been really searching for a good reading list for CIVIL WAR and kept finding ones with slight variations and others that had REALLY insignificant books in it. Long story, short.. I ended up starting off by using the Reading List on Comic Vines Story Arc page for CIVIL WAR. But somehow this just seemed lacking... I mean it was blatantly obvious that books that had the CIVIL WAR tag on the site werent even on the list.

Then, I find this thread... Load up the list and with few exceptions, (notably the Daily Bugle... fixed easily enough) every thing is looking good. Then I notice the numbers.. it seems like I am missing almost 100 books from the list?!? That didnt sound correct... Comic Vine has the Story Arc listed in just of 100 books (which even seems a tad low.. I think some books are missing the tag). I figured I had stumbled across another massive list that didnt have much to do with the CIVIL WAR, and from the outside that is sorta how it looks.

Then I started doing the research and basically what it SEEMS (I havent read the thing yet) is that it does contain a lot of books that are not considered in the CIVIL WAR arc, it does over a good leap from the CIVIL WAR to many of the books and characters that emerge from it. Now I just have to look for all the issues I am missing.

Moving on.. I still wanted a list of JUST the CIVIL WAR and since I have fallen in love with Comic Vine and the Comic Vine Scraper, I figured I would rely on what books Comic Vine has tagged as CIVIL WAR. So I made a slight change to this list...

1. Scraped the ENTIRE list in the file from Post 1. 2. Made a Smart List that pulled any book that had "CIVIL WAR" in it's Story Arc section on Comic Vine (built the list from the original list to preserve the reading order). 3. Exported and added it here.

NOTE The info from Comic Vine is accurate as of 8-6-10.

I hope I am not stepping on toes here. If someone is looking for CIVIL WAR reading lists, then I think the original one on this thread is the way to go! Mine is just a supplemental one, but make no mistake, the first one is better as all those "extra" books might open your eyes to some new Series that have their roots in the CIVIL WAR.

For the record, this does seem to be one of the most accurate lists out there as far as Read Order goes. Great Job.
