A (relatively) simple query that I can't seem to solve satisfactorily..

Over the period of time, I have scraped a lot & accumulated a large number of ComicVine Database tags in my "tags" "field:



These CVDB tags have muddled the functionality of my Tags field. I would like to remove them, and hence the following queries:

1. What is the use of the CVDB tags ?

2. How do I remove all the CVDB tags from my whole library ?

3. Would removing them have any effect on the scraped data ?

4. Would I have to remove the data from Notes field also ?

5. Other than these, I also have a number of other tags that I actually use. Will removing the CVDB tags remove my tags also ?

6. How do I ensure that in future, scraping new comics will not add the CVDB tags ?

I actually wrote a script for this purpose a while ago. I posted it in some topic in the scripts forum at some point. I've attached it to this post and updated it to a .crplugin file. Just select the comics and run the script.

No. As far as I am aware, the script also searches the Notes field.

Just unselect tags in the settings dialog of the comicvine script.
