Subject: Android App help please - by: Insane Galvatron

Hello everyone. I have a small issue with the android app. I don't do the sync because I just don't like that system. Heck, it's my whole reason for buying an Android tablet. I had an iPhone and didn't like the fact I had to sync files on and off of if. I like drag and drop.

I got some ecomics and wanted to be able to read them on my tablet, but comixology can't read .cbr files. So some google searching led me to the comicrack app. I put a comic series 336 issues long into the comic folder, and the app was able to see them. Here's the problem. About 6 of the issues can't be viewed. When I try, I get this error "solid cbr ecomics not supported, see the FAQ". Not only does the FAQ link in the app not open a page, but I can't find anything here on the site to explain this. All the files are the exact same type, so I don't know why it will open the other 330, but not those 6. Anybody have any idea what the problem is? Or do I just need to find a new comic reader for my tablet?

Subject: [Webcomic Request] Double K - by: DogbertFan

I was working on making a CBW for a webcomic called Double K here at doublek.thewebcomic.com/comics/.

I think I am only having trouble with the portion of my script that detects the next page and have included it in this post.

[code]
<Part>["'](?<link>http://(?:www\.|img2\.)smackjeeves\.com/images/uploaded/comics/[^"']+)["']</Part>
<Part>&ltli&gt\n\r&lta\stitle="next" href=(?(["'])["'](?&ltlink&gt[^"']+)["']|(?&ltlink&gt[^\s&lt&gt]+))next&lt/a&gt\n\r&lt/li&gt?</Part>
[code]

Hopefully I can figure this out, but if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it.

Subject: Can I select page types to not sync? - by: Freakeao

I'm a pretty new user to CRA, just a week or two. I think it's great but I'd like to know if there is a way that I can select page types that I do not what to sync to my tablet? I just finished reading a few comics with letters and advertising and preview pages at the end that I would rather not have them taking up space on my tablet, just leave those for PC viewing. So I went and edited the page types in the windows client and am in the process of syncing again right now. But it doesn't seem like the CBP files are any smaller.

Does CRW support this as an option for syncing? Does this only happen if I "optimize" while syncing? Is there a list of which page types will be sync'd and which won't?

Ideally I would like the option to select which page types are synced and which aren't. I could remove advertisements and delete type pages, etc.

Thanks for all your work so far.

p.s. I just now noticed the skip page types option in CRA which is great. But I would still love it if you could make these pages not sync at all.

Subject: Better way to create smart list for android syncing... - by: m900

Hello,

I have recently started borrowing my brother's GalaxyTab for reading comics, and I love the syncing feature, but the smartlist I am created already has 10 fields for as many series. I also tried adding tags to different series but that would require me to edit every issue of the new book that comes out. Is there a better way?

Subject: ComicVine Scraper Help! - by: f0rc3_f33din

So I recentley got ComicRack to help read and organise all my comics. On the tutorial it says you need to use ComicVine to scaper to get all the data on the files before you rename/ organise them. For the most part this has been easy going but I have 1000+ comics with numbers at the front and I am having to manually delete them and adjust the search critera for ComicVine. Is there an easier way as its actually taking for ever!

Example of what the names currently look like in ComicRack before scraping

Subject: Alternate Cover Scrapper - by: Fuzzyluzzi

I've noticed many books I've scrapped have alternate covers. I was curious if there was a script or an add-on to the scrapper that will allow us to download the alternate covers from ComicVine. They can be stored into a temp directory until we can insert them into the zip files.

Subject: Remove path extension for folders - by: Nesfe

the last update made it possible to have 2 locations for the comic series, which is awesome. However after adding manga to those 2 locations [sd card and internal memory] and then sorting by folder, I see the full path extension of the location of each series.

This made it annoying to find the series that i want to read, since the path is bigger than the space, so i have to click on each series to find the series I'm looking for.

The upper left side of the pic below shows what I'm talking about. i hope in the future that I can only see the series name in the home screen without "/Removable/SD/Manga/Whateversereries". It should only show "whateverseries".

Hi! Thanks for a great app! I am not sure if it's user error or a bug... but I believe it's a bug. I tried running in administrator mode while doing this. I read a few books, ensured they have the checkmark 'read' enabled and the read percentage said 100%. I exited the app and opened it up again and the books I just read previously were back at 0% and the 'read' checkbox not checked.
